Mount Sinai Brooklyn is seeking a Hospitalist/Palliative Care Physician to provide comprehensive care to patients admitted to the Medical Service. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients, overseeing acute medical conditions and developing care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams comprising nurses, specialists, and social workers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Conduct daily patient rounds, assess progress, and make informed treatment decisions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance hospital protocols and elevate patient care standards.
- Deliver specialized care to patients with serious illnesses, focusing on symptom management, pain relief, and improving quality of life.
- Conduct thorough assessments to create personalized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and caregivers.
- Lead interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care goals and facilitate advance care planning.
- Educate inpatient providers and hospital staff on palliative care principles and best practices.
Compensation
- Compensation range from $180,000 to $340,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
- The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
Requirements
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- New York State Medical License
- BE or BC in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine
