Hospitalist

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking Per Diem Hospitalists for Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside, NY. This role involves managing and providing clinical care to patients assigned to Hospitalist Services across the entire continuum of hospital care. The successful candidate will join an integrated healthcare system renowned for excellence in research, patient care, and education.

• Employed position based at Mount Sinai South Nassau
• Serve a diverse population in a region with excellent school districts and easy access to Manhattan
• Clinical support staff includes Nurses and medical assistants
• EMR system: Allscripts
• Teaching and/or research opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide clinical care of patients assigned to Hospitalist Services through the entire continuum of hospital care
• See patients in the ER, on the unit, and follow them to the critical care unit
• Ensure each patient assigned to the service receives medically appropriate level of care on a 24/7 basis
• Coordinate discharge planning with the patient, family members, and care manager/discharge planner

Compensation

• Compensation range from $255,000 to $300,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
• The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York Medical License
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Committed to Mount Sinai South Nassau and the communities we serve
• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
