Hospitalist Nocturnist

Join our established team in Henderson, North Carolina, as a Nocturnist Hospital Medicine Physician. This role at Maria Parham Hospital, a Duke LifePoint Healthcare system, offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient care during overnight shifts within a collaborative environment. • Closely knit, established team of 8 physicians supported by a Program Coordinator
• Hospital licensed for 205 acute care beds, 52 med surg, and 12 PCU beds
• Stable team that is steadily expanding

• Wide range of services available, including OB/GYN, Pulmonology, cardiology, critical care, and ortho
• Welcome complex cases while ensuring the team is supported with resources

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist care in an open ICU environment and PCU with intensivist consult support for coverage at night
• Participate in the code team
• Focus on delivering high-quality care
• Work closely with hospital colleagues across departments, serving on committees and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives like reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs)

Compensation

• Competitive compensation package and higher pay with bonuses
• Yearly average compensation for nocturnists is $350,000

Shift & Schedule

• Nocturnist hours are 7 p.m.- 7 a.m.
• 7-days-on, 7-days-off with schedule flexibility

Requirements

• Comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours
• Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
