Hospitalist Nocturnist

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a dedicated Nocturnist to join their team in Akron, Ohio. This role involves working overnight shifts to deliver exceptional patient care within a vibrant community-focused regional medical center. Providers will collaborate with a cohesive team of physicians and APPs while supporting professional growth.

• Cohesive and long-standing team of 31 physicians and 4 APPs with the support of a clinical performance nurse
• Group participates in several hospitalist committees and QI projects
• 532-bed regional medical center with prestigious 'Magnet' status
• ICU is closed
• Work with IM and FM residents from the Cleveland Clinic Akron General residency program

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours
• Respond to codes on their patients
• Work with IM and FM residents from the Cleveland Clinic Akron General residency program

Shift & Schedule

• Working exclusively 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM overnight shifts
• 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation, but we help cover for our teammates as needed
• 12 physicians and one APP working daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 1 physician works a swing shift daily from 12 pm to 12 am
• Two physicians and one APP working nightly from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Requirements

• Board-certified/board-eligible in internal medicine
• Comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours
• No procedures or codes are required
• H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
