Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join a well-established team at Sanford Medical Center. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient care to adolescent and adult patients within an integrated health system. The position emphasizes daytime shift work with no nights, supported by a dedicated team and 24/7 intensivists.
Practice Info
- Integrated Health System
- 8 physicians rounding 7am-7pm (12-16 patients daily)
- Dedicated admitting providers 24/7
- 1 APP on 24/7 to assist hospitalist
- 24 hour in house intensivists
- No procedures required
Responsibilities
- Admit, diagnose, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to adolescent and adult patients with common and complex illnesses, diseases, and functional disorders of the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, and genitourinary systems

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Experience demonstrated by residency procedure log and a list of completed rotations (for recent graduates) OR a quality profile from current hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including number of procedures performed-morbidity, mortality, infection rates and other complications
- Active involvement of inpatient services with at least 40 patients in the last 12 months (if not applying directly out of residency)
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited postgraduate training program in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, an Internal Medicine subspecialty, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
