Hospitalist ICU Nocturnist Physician

Position Overview

We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician to work in the ICU at Ascension St. John Hospital. The candidate will be a board‑certified or board‑eligible critical care physician, with experience in cardiovascular or pulmonary critical care. The role involves leading the ICU team to manage patients and ensuring high‑quality care.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ICU team in the management of critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with the integrated acute care team (emergency, critical care, and hospital medicine).
• Participate in the Closed ICU model and provide 24‑hour coverage in partnership with intensivists, ICU‑hospitalists and advanced practice providers.
• Participate in tele‑critical care support for night teams.
• Attend to patients on a 12‑hour shift schedule: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., 14 shifts per month.

Qualifications

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Critical Care Medicine.
• Experience in cardiovascular or pulmonary critical care preferred.
• Ability to work in a Closed ICU environment.
• W‑2 or 1099 employment options available.

Compensation & Benefits

• Signing bonus up to $80,000.
