Hospitalist

Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, part of Sutter East Bay Medical Group, is seeking a hospitalist to join its regional referral center for high-acuity care across multiple campuses. In this role, clinicians care for a diverse and medically complex patient population while co-managing surgical and subspecialty populations. Physicians join a mature, collaborative division with strong operational infrastructure and opportunities for leadership development and academic engagement.

• Regional referral center for high-acuity medical, surgical, oncologic, and specialty care across multiple campuses
• Largest and most complex hospitalist program in Sutter East Bay
• Mature division with strong operational infrastructure and engaged physician leadership
• Multidisciplinary group including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and certified nurse midwives
• 25+ specialties throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties

Responsibilities

• Care for the majority of hospitalized patients
• Co-manage complex surgical and subspecialty populations
• Partner closely with nursing, case management, specialists, and hospital leadership to drive quality, flow, and patient experience
• Care for a diverse and medically complex patient population
• Play a central role in advancing system-wide initiatives in quality, safety, efficiency, and care redesign

Compensation

• $180/Hr. - $190/Hr.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible
• Possess an active and unrestricted California Medical License prior to employment
• DEA license, prior to employment
• IM/FM physicians considered
