  • Duration: 16 weeks
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts
  • Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shift Pattern: 5 shifts per week
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,810 - $1,940
  • On Call: No call required
Job Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist license in good standing
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; 2 years in an equivalent hospital or acute care setting is strongly preferred
  • MBS experience required; FEES experience preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and patient education skills
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, plan, and implement speech-language pathology services based on patient needs and physician referrals
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, re-evaluations, and treatment plan development
  • Provide therapy for communication, voice, articulation, fluency, swallowing, cognition, and related disorders
  • Adjust treatment goals as needed in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Educate patients and families on therapy plans, progress, and discharge recommendations
  • Support discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up care or assistive equipment when needed
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement efforts
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 8-10 patients plus follow-ups
