Travel SLP Job Details
- Specialty: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Setting: Adult inpatient rehabilitation

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920-$2,060
- Schedule: 8-hour day shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Start Date: October 25, 2026
- Duration: 13-week travel contract, ending January 24, 2027
- Patient Population: Adults recovering from neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and other complex conditions
- Caseload: Approximately 8 patients per therapist, supported by assistants and a rehabilitation technician
- Float Requirement: May float to a nearby affiliated rehabilitation location approximately 8 miles away
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in an adult inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in Arizona or eligibility for Arizona licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with point-of-care documentation and GG scoring
- Ability to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary care team
- Evaluate adult patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing treatment plans based on patient goals and functional needs
- Provide therapy for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological conditions, orthopedic injury, cardiac events, and falls
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions to support safe, measurable functional gains
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment strategies, safety, and carryover of skills
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and discharge recommendations accurately and on time
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and contribute to discharge planning
- Use available rehabilitation technology and equipment to support comprehensive patient care
