Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential/license as required for practice
• BLS certification required
• ACLS knowledge or certification preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience with ventilatory equipment, oxygen therapy, and patient monitoring preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport support as medically prescribed
• Evaluate patient conditions and recommend appropriate treatment plans
• Administer routine respiratory treatments using invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment
• Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, and capnography monitoring
• Assist with tracheostomy care, arterial punctures, and mechanical ventilation management
• Support respiratory procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and related care activities
• Complete documentation accurately in patient charts and respiratory care records
• Communicate treatment progress and patient response with the care team during shift handoff
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment as needed
