Within the Compensation and Benefit function—integrated closely with Payroll and Financial Services—the Director Payroll or Compensation Director will support a 140‑bed prominent, not‑for‑profit Public Hospital District serving Grays Harbor County, Washington. Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end payroll operations for multi‑entity and multi‑shift environments.
• Manage benefit and retirement deductions, union and FLSA compliance, garnishments, and audits.
• Conduct payroll tax filings, year‑end activities, and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate daily with nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team to solve problems quickly and keep frontline caregivers focused on patients.
