Overview
The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises occupational therapy treatment in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards. In this hospital-based therapy role, you will assess patient function, develop treatment plans, collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, and support safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of assignment
• BLS certification required before first shift
• Minimum of 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, patient-centered hospital setting
• Comfort supervising OTAs, students, and support staff as needed
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, professionalism, and patient confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based OT interventions based on patient goals and clinical findings
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with department and hospital standards
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, OT students, and COTA students as appropriate
• Support quality improvement initiatives and promote a safe care environment
• Maintain flexibility, professionalism, and strong communication with patients and healthcare team members
