Job Details

• Position Type: Travel MRI Technologist / MRI Supervisor
• Setting: Hospital-based MRI department
• Location: San Francisco, California
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,610 - $2,800
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• Additional Notes: Opportunity to float across multiple campuses and support a multi-site MRI program
• Weekend Coverage: 2 rotating weekend shifts per contract

Job Requirements

• 8 years of MRI experience required
• Supervisor or charge experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ARMRIT or ARRT(R) certification required
• ARRT(MR) certification required
• Venipuncture skills required
• Experience supporting a broad range of routine and advanced MRI exams preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-campus hospital environment
• Commitment to safety, quality, and patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight of MRI operations across multiple campuses
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and operational planning to support efficient coverage
• Deliver hands-on clinical MRI scanning support when needed due to staffing shortages or workflow demands
• Manage patient flow and help optimize scanner utilization
• Promote MRI safety and maintain compliance with departmental standards and regulations
• Coach, onboard, and support team members to encourage growth and accountability
• Collaborate with radiology, nursing, anesthesia, and operational leadership
• Identify workflow improvements and help implement best practices
• Monitor quality metrics, patient experience, and overall departmental performance
• Support a diverse case mix that may include neuro, cardiac, body, breast, musculoskeletal, pelvic, prostate, and interventional MRI procedures
