Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150 - $2,310

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Shift Schedule: 6:15 AM - 5:00 PM, 4x10 schedule with rotating days off
• On-Call: Weekend and holiday coverage may be required; approximately 10-12 call shifts in a 4-week period
• Work Environment: Adult CVOR cases, 1:1 patient ratio

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a CVOR Surgical Technologist, Surgical Technologist, or CST in an operating room setting
• Active Virginia license status must be clearly documented with submission
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• NBSTSA certification required
• Experience supporting adult cardiovascular operating room procedures
• Ability to work a 4x10 day schedule with rotating days off
• Comfort with on-call responsibilities, including possible weekend and holiday coverage
• Epic experience is helpful

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular, vascular, and hybrid OR procedures
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and supplies for each case
• Support safe, efficient workflow in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room environment
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs during adult cardiac and vascular procedures
• Collaborate closely with the OR team in a patient-focused, team-oriented setting
• Handle advanced equipment and technology, including IABP, ECMO, Atricure, and Impella 5.5
• Maintain professional standards and follow facility policies and dress code requirements
