Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in CT and X-ray required
• At least 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care required
• Experience working in an emergency department setting required
• GE equipment experience required
• ARRT certification required
• Active Virginia license required
• BLS required
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and patient-centered care skills

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-ray exams accurately and efficiently
• Support ER imaging needs with a focus on quality, safety, and timely turnaround
• Prepare patients for imaging, verify orders, and confirm proper patient identification
• Operate GE CT and X-ray equipment following established protocols
• Apply radiation safety practices and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
• Work independently while coordinating with an interdisciplinary care team
• Document procedures and maintain clear communication with clinical staff
• Handle a variable scan volume, typically 5-20 exams per shift
