Key Responsibilities



  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership for hospice services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Supervise and support interdisciplinary team members, including nursing, social work, chaplaincy, and support staff.

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient- and family-centered care consistent with hospice philosophy and standards of practice.

  • Monitor clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and quality indicators; implement performance improvement initiatives as needed.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations (e.g., CMS, Conditions of Participation).

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility.

  • Collaborate with referral sources, community partners, and internal stakeholders to support program growth and access to care.

  • Oversee staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.

  • Support and lead interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning processes.

  • Address patient, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and sensitivity.

  • Engage in community outreach and actively promote agency services at local events.


Qualifications



  • Current MSW or RN license in NH and Maine (preferred)

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hospice or palliative care experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, reimbursement models, and clinical standards.

  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team development skills.

  • Experience with budgeting, financial management, and performance metrics preferred.
