Be part of our mission to bring comfort, peace, and dignity to patients and their loved ones during this sacred time.Hospice Chaplain Requirements:Ecclesiastical endorsement by faith group/denominationMinimum of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from Accredited ACPE Center RequiredMaster of Divinity degree or equivalency preferredNonjudgmental and inclusive presenceSpiritual Care experience working with terminal individuals, family members, and cliniciansKnowledge and commitment to hospice philosophy of careAwareness of end of life practices associated with different faith traditionsHospice care experience preferred (one-year minimum)Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work independently and as a member of a hospice care teamAbility to use electronic medical resources for care plans, interventions, and documentationMeet federal and state requirements regarding criminal/abuse background checksProof of valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportationHospice Chaplain Responsibilities:Provide or coordinate spiritual care support to patients, family members, and caregiversConduct spiritual assessments of patients and family members in a timely manner as requiredAssist with bereavement follow-up care as appropriate in collaboration with bereavement coordinatorParticipate as a member of the hospice team in regularly scheduled care conferences, hospice admissions, and Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetingsProvide emotional/spiritual support to hospice team members as neededDevelop and maintain relationships with local spiritual leadersParticipate in quality improvement programs and servicesParticipate in weekend on-call rotation as designatedHospice Chaplain Schedule & Benefits:Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with an on-call rotation that will include weekends and eveningsBe part of a team willing to grow, listen, be heard, and be challenged.Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTOCompetitive industry pay.
