This is not an entry-level sales position. The ideal candidate understands hospice philosophy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about helping patients and families access compassionate end-of-life care through trusted community partnerships.Our Hospice BDRs enjoy some excellent benefits:Base salary starting at $70,000 annually plus commission opportunitiesFlexible schedule and family-oriented culture that promotes work-life balancePTO, Holiday Pay, Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) benefits offered after eligibility requirements are metOpportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and familiesSupportive leadership team and established community presenceAs a Hospice Business Development Representative, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other referral partners throughout the Southside territoryEducate healthcare professionals and community partners regarding hospice eligibility, services, and benefitsGenerate appropriate hospice referrals through consistent outreach, relationship-building, and follow-upCollaborate closely with admissions staff, clinical teams, and leadership to support patient needs and growth initiativesDevelop and execute territory business development plans and weekly outreach strategiesDocument activities, referral development efforts, and territory updates using Microsoft Teams, OneNote, and company systemsRepresent Interim HealthCare Hospice at community events, educational programs, and networking opportunitiesRespond promptly and professionally to referral opportunities, inquiries, and customer concernsUtilize contact management systems to track activities, referral sources, and account development effortsMeet established productivity, growth, and customer service goalsPrepare and conduct presentations regarding Interim HealthCare Hospice to referral sources, community organizations, and healthcare professionalsIn conjunction with leadership, develop and execute key account plans to strengthen referral relationships and expand market shareA few must-haves for our Hospice Liaison / Business Development Representative:Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare sales experience required; hospice experience strongly preferredDemonstrated success achieving referral growth, census growth, or sales objectivesExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsStrong organizational, planning, and time-management abilitiesAbility to work independently while remaining highly accountable for resultsProfessional appearance, conduct, and communication skillsValid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the assigned territoryProficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and related technology platformsStrong understanding of hospice philosophy and commitment to ethical patient-centered careThe ideal candidate will:Build authentic, long-term relationships with referral partnersDemonstrate resilience and professionalism in a competitive environmentFollow through on commitments and maintain a high level of accountabilityBalance compassion with strong business development skillsPrioritize patients and families while supporting organizational growthEmbrace feedback, continuous learning, and teamworkAt Interim HealthCare, integrity comes before numbers.
