nThis is a mobile position in the field. The position requires a reliable vehicle and travel to patients in facilities in Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs.
nResponsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care and assistance to hospice patients in their homes or care facilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Administer basic life support and first aid when necessary
- Assist with physical examinations under the direction of healthcare professionals
- Support patients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Hospice Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Experience in providing care for patients in various settings such as ICU, pediatrics, senior care
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety protocols
- Physical ability to lift and move patients safely
