Responsible for working with applicants and kinship parents to ensure the completion of all the paperwork, training, clearances, interviews and home assessments in order to be licensed. Staying within the requirements as defined by the PA Department of Human Services and the County Children and Youth Agencies services performance standards, as well as agency guidelines.Advances Delta’s Mission and Values Reports to: SupervisorPrincipal Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Contact the applicant or kinship parent within 48 hours of assignmentComplete an initial home safety assessment within 72 hours for emergency kinship referralsComplete an initial home assessment for applicants within a month of assignment and a final home safety assessment at the completion of the certification processProvide applicants and kinship parents with all home study documents and interview questionsAnswer questions regarding the certification processEnsure the completion of documents and submit to supervisorAssist in obtaining necessary application process itemsEncourage applicants and kinship parents to attend, participate and complete pre-service trainingKeep in contact with applicants through phone and written communicationsComplete the home study interview with the applicant or kinship family.Compile all information from paperwork and interview to complete the home studyResponsible for keeping certification team updated on where the family is at during the certification processProvide recommendations on the type of placements that should be placed in the homeEnsure Emergency Kinship Referrals are completed within the state guidelines of 60 daysAttend and contribute to monthly Certification Team meetingsMaximize the development and capacity of staff to advance the mission and values of DeltaEnsure the full capacity of programmatic resourcesDemonstrates ethical and professional conduct at all timesPromotes continuous quality improvement projects and ongoing performance measuresPromote and address Delta’s Risk Management Program for the health and safety of individuals and employeesPromotes and supports best practices that are trauma informed, non-discriminatory and evidenced basedPerform such other duties that may be assigned for providing excellent customer service and for the most effective operation of the companyEssential FunctionsAbility to read, write and speak English; perform arithmetical calculationsAbility to use excellent oral and written communications skills.Ability to use telephone, voice mail, copier, facsimile machine, computer and calculator.Ability to prioritize responsibilities.Ability work effectively with people.Ability to operate vehicles with a valid driver’s license in accordance with applicable state laws, insurance provider requirements and company policies and procedures.Position QualificationsBachelors required. Prefer some experience with knowledge of Foster Care System, CUA, PA DHS and DHS regulations.
