Mederi Caretenders Home Health – Home Health RN Executive Director

Mederi Caretenders Home Health, part of LHC Group, is hiring a full‑time Home Health RN Executive Director in Vero Beach, Florida.

As the Executive Director, you will serve as the Administrator of the entire home health provider and will be responsible for the oversight of day‑to‑day operations. Responsibilities include coordinating and completing assigned projects, overseeing patient eligibility, planning and supervising home health care, implementing and maintaining compliance practices, enhancing profitability, and motivating and retaining a qualified staff. This position also acts as a liaison with management staff and other departments throughout the company.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete assigned projects to support immediate and long‑range objectives
• Oversee patient eligibility, planning, and supervision of home health services
• Implement and maintain administrative practices, agency philosophy, goals, and policies to assure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Enhance agency profitability and motivate staff to assure quality of services

Required Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure with at least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home healthcare or related field
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, or access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation

State Specific Requirement (FL)

• May also serve as Director of Nursing if agency has fewer than 10 FTE employees and contracted personnel.
• If serving as Director of Nursing for more than two licensed home‑health agencies, must designate an alternate Director of Nursing in writing for absence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• Home‑care experience
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proven ability to work independently
• Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills

Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, experience, certifications, etc. Salary range: $81,776 – $122,664 annually for full‑time employment.
