Responsibilities
- Travel to clients’ homes to provide end-of-life veterinary care
- Offer gentle euthanasia procedures with empathy, sensitivity and respect
- Provide emotional support and guidance to pet families - Honor the human-animal bond with every visit
- Ensure proper documentation and communication with support staff
- Guide families through a deeply emotional process with grace and reassurance
- Communicate clearly and kindly before, during, and after the appointment
- Represent our values with integrity in every interaction
Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent and current veterinary license in Florida
- Professional liability coverage
- Excellent bedside manner and emotional intelligence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Comfort working independently in clients’ homes
- Experience in palliative care, hospice, or euthanasia preferred (training can be provided)
- Speaking Spanish is a plus

What the day of an in‑home euthanasia veterinarian looks like: You will schedule appointments, travel to clients’ homes, perform the procedure, and communicate clearly with families. The day is primarily focused on euthanasia appointments and includes 30–45 minute treatment sessions and travel time, allowing the veterinarian to work few hours with a flexible schedule.
