Peoplelink Staffing , in partnership with a leading agricultural production facility, is seeking dependable and hardworking Live Haul / Holding House Associates to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring proper handling, movement, and care of ducks while supporting daily production and sanitation operations.
Live Haul / Holding House Associate Job Summary:
- Move ducks in accordance with Duck Well-Being, Care, and Handling Guidelines (annual recertification required)
- Unload market-age duck trailers and transport ducks using totes, carts, and conveyor systems
- Move ducks from barns to holding/round room areas and onto processing lines
- Wash and disinfect truck trailers and equipment in a timely manner
- Monitor and report irregularities such as equipment malfunctions or air quality issues
- Assist leadership in addressing efficiency, quality, and safety concerns
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Previous experience in poultry or agricultural environments preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety, animal care, and biosecurity practices
- Ability to work effectively with team members and communicate across departments
- Problem-solving ability for minor operational and equipment issues
- Ability to work in all weather conditions , including hot, cold, and wet environments
- Frequent heavy lifting, walking, and physical activity throughout the shift
- Tasks include unloading trucks, moving animals, and cleaning equipment
- Exposure to chemicals such as disinfectants and solvents
- Weekend work may be required based on production needs
