What You’ll Do
- Perform CT imaging procedures according to established protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Verify patient identity and obtain relevant clinical history prior to procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of a radiologist.
- Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Practice radiation safety measures to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
- Assist with quality control procedures, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations, including contrast reactions.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain professional certifications.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT Certification in Radiography (R).
- ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
- Current Wyoming Radiologic Technologist and/or CT Technologist licensure, as required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
- One to two years of diagnostic imaging experience, including CT procedures.
- Previous hospital or acute care experience.
