To support the management of patient records, the full-time HIM Specialist will be responsible for preparing and maintaining medical records, tracking documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Assemble and track admission paperwork to establish and maintain complete medical records for patients Audit medical records for accuracy and completeness, ensuring timely processing of physician signatures and documentation Supervise volunteers in the HIM office and assist clinical staff with medical record reviews and requests Required qualifications: At least 2 years of general office experience in a healthcare facility; medical record experience preferred High school diploma required; college courses or a degree preferred Basic knowledge of medical terminology Experience with electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
