HIL / xIL Development EngineerStellantis is seeking a HIL / xIL Development Engineer to support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems, plant model development, and system integration across MIL, SIL, and HIL environments. This role plays a critical part in accelerating validation for powertrain systems including ICE, HEV, and BEV applications. The engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with software, controls, calibration, and systems engineering teams to develop, integrate, and troubleshoot simulation environments for vehicle programs.Responsibilities:Develop and reduce plant models for HIL applications and maintain a reusable model libraryIntegrate models across MIL, SIL, and HIL environmentsConfigure and commission HIL simulators for vehicle-specific applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (software, controls, calibration, systems engineering) on requirements and integrationTroubleshoot and resolve HIL simulation and integration issues during commissioningSupport ECU hardware interface definition and electrical harness designPerform benchmarking, evaluate new HIL technologies, and improve development processes and toolsWork with global engineering teams across NA, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regionsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 1 year of experience in automotive industry and Hardware in Loop/HiLExperience with plant and controller modeling, simulation, development and testing.Experience in Model Based Development on any Powertrain Application, preferred Matlab-Simulink/Stateflow/SimScapeKnowledge and experience with Powertrain ICE, HEV and BEV systemsDemonstrated Hardware- In-the-Loop systems experience (dSPACE, ETAS, NI HIL systems)Experience with C/C++ code generationExperience with 1-D physical modeling tools such as GT Power, AMESim and co-simulation toolsHands on experience with the dSpace Simulators (Scalexio), Harness design, implementation, Electrical Loads etcExperience with HIL electrical/ wiring harness, load box design, implementation and troubleshootingExperience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINKKnowledge of CAN stack, SPI, LIN and Flash bootloader integrationKnowledge in diagnostic management: CANalyzer, CANoeKnowledge of Simulation Tool (e.g.
