HIL Test EngineerLocation: Auburn Hills, MIPosition: FulltimeJob Description:Execution of various activities related to the design, development, and delivery of Hardware-in-loop (HIL) Virtual Simulation platforms used for Propulsion System & EE development, testing, and validation:Execute circuit/wiring upgrades within HIL systemsBuild new wire harnesses and implement design changes to existing harnesses. Repair broken equipment (e.g.: HIL Wiring)Prepare wire harness and load box kits based on HIL Hardware engineers' designCommissioning of new harnesses and load boxes, assist HW Engineer in resolving HW related issuesQualifications:5+ years' experience with Bachelor's degree or 3+ years and Master's degreeBasic knowledge of electrical & electronics circuits and componentsAbility to study & understand electrical & electronic schematic & layoutExposure to electrical test equipment including but not limited to power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers etc.Exposure to AutoCAD Electrical, or similar electrical CAD softwareExposure to automation in an industrial/manufacturing environmentAbility to be flexible and responsiveGood verbal communication skillsPreferred:Understanding of working principle of power electronic devices used in electric vehicleUnderstanding of communication protocols like Automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN etc.Knowledge of safety and EMI requirements related to high power applicationsExperienced/Understanding in Functional Testing, End of Line Testing etc.Good software & hardware troubleshooting skillsKnowledge in processes like GR&R, Cpk etc.Education:Minimum – BE/BS in the areas of Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering or comparable Engineering degree
