Project Engineer
Mid-West firm with history that goes back over 75 years looking to add a Project Engineer to their Transportation Team! Responsibilities: Oversee and perform assigned engineering designs. Works with or act as the Project Manager and assigns tasks, schedules, monitors and answers questions of other team members. QA/QC of assigned tasks to team. Works on technical, schedule or financial issues and seeks resolution from the Project Manager and/or the client, as appropriate to the situation. Assists the Client in bidding or contractor selection when assigned. Addresses change orders. Proposals, including the calculation/estimation of time schedules and costs of the proposed work. Signs and seals engineering documents as an authorized representative of the company. Communicates on technical matters with client.
Education: Professional Engineer certification required - Must have a Bachelor's (B.S.) or Master's (M.S.) degree in Civil Engineering. Experience: 5 or more years of related roadway/highway design experience. Roadway and Transportation Project experience is required. Knowledge of DOT standards and procedures are required. Must be proficient with a civil design package, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation / Geopak, or Inroads.
