Remote Contract General

Citrix / VDI Support AdministratorLooking for an experienced Citrix / VDI Support Administrator to support our IMSWEST Access Team. This position is based in Irvine and is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of Citrix and VDI infrastructure globally.ResponsibilitiesSupport all VDI’s and Users supported by the Access Team. This includes but is not limited to: Citrix XenDesktop 7x & 2203, Citrix XenApp 7x & 2203, Citrix Store Front, Citrix Netscalers, Vmware vSphere, Nutanix HW and AHV, Wyse Thin Client devices.Be responsible for delivering technology solutions and ensuring stability for a global Citrix/VDI environment.Work across departments to make sure requirements are understood to ensure successful solutions.Work with Vendors to report and resolve issues.Assist in technology evaluationsProvide 24x7 on-call support (on a rotational basis) and is available after-hours to assist with or supervise data center installations or activities (as required)Assist with the development and implementation of standards, procedures and processes for the department.Maintain and update documentation to stay currentSupport infrastructure projectsSupport day to day issues.SkillsConvey information clearly and effectively, verbally and in written format.In-depth experience in implementing and supporting Citrix XenDesktop 7x, Citrix XenApp 7x, Citrix Store Front, Citrix Netscalers, VMware, Nutanix, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure DeploymentsSupport change control policiesAble to design overall VDI solutions, conduct planning, requirements analysis, pre and post implementation support, training and maintenanceResponsible for ensuring that the client’s performance, security, user experience, reliability, availability, and all other functional and non-functional requirements are metMaintain system documentation, including participation of acceptance testing and validation by business unitsAble to troubleshoot infrastructure problems, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and create supporting documentationMust be Proactive and responsiveEducation & Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with the administration of Citrix and VMware Enterprise ProductsMinimum 5 years providing Level 1 and Level 2 User SupportMinimum 5 years supporting Desktop Operating SystemsKnowledge and experience with Nutanix hardware and AHV preferredAdditional requirementsExperience with HPE Moonshot a plus3-5 “nice to have” attributes:Excellent communication skillsProblem-solvingAdaptability and flexibilityPositive attitude and enthusiasmTop three must-haves:Technical expertiseAnalytical and problem-solvingCommunication and collaborationSoftware skills is an absolute must have:Must have knowledge of XENAPP and XENDESKTOP 7.6, 7.15 and Up versions –Must know XA/XD build out from scratch to implementation to deploymentMust know MCS and Or PVS VDI provisioning knowledgeMust know any Hypervisor administration, basic cloning, image management and Hypervisor related skillsMust know basic AD skillsMust know basic Windows server 2012, 2016 administration skillsDeveloping automation scripts using PowerShell - a PlusTroubleshooting of VMware ESXi environment - a plusSupport multiple VDI and Desktop deployment/Management within Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop environment - a plusSupport Nutanix AOS/AHV/ESXi - a plusWhat business unit is this supporting?Global Technical ServicesGlobal Business ServicesPIMCOIs it supporting a specific project or initiative?
