Job Overview
The Bayaan Academy Teacher will deliver quality instruction to students in a virtual learning environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive, standards‑based lesson plans for high school ELA.
- Adapt curriculum materials for online delivery, incorporating multimedia, interactive elements, and real‑world applications.
- Conduct live online classes using video conferencing and other virtual platforms.
- Utilize effective online teaching strategies to engage students and promote a collaborative learning environment.
- Design and administer assessments to measure student understanding and progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on assignments, assessments, and participation.
- Offer virtual office hours for individualized support and assistance.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to address student concerns and provide updates on academic performance.
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive online classroom environment; enforce classroom rules and expectations.
- Utilize educational technology tools and platforms to enhance the online learning experience and guide students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and collaborate with staff to share resources and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Two years of teaching experience, preferably in a virtual setting.
- Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum and subject matter.
- Teaching certification preferred.
- Proficiency in using online learning platforms, video conferencing tools, and educational technology.
