Additional Job Information COLOR GUARD:

*Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
  • First Aid training concepts, injury prevention
  • Willingness to devote time before and after school hours
  • Experience participating in a color guard program

*Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior successful experience in coaching
  • Preferred Drum Corps International (DCI) or Winter Guard International (WGI) experience
  • Dance background
  • CPR/First Aid certified

*Performance Responsibilities:

  • Attend and participate in all practices, games, and competitions
  • Supervise all color guard activities
  • Act as advocate for color guard program in school and community
  • Work with High School and/or Middle School to facilitate future transition from Middle School to High School Color Guard program

Paid in accordance with the Differentiated Pay for Additional Duty/Supplemental Salary Schedule in the Hernando County Teachers' Association (HCTA) Contract.
