We are seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to provide personalized in-home support and assistance to clients who need help with daily living activities. In this role, you will help promote comfort, dignity, safety, and independence while delivering attentive care in a home-based setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, as appropriate
- Support mobility and transfer activities while following safe assistance practices
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping tasks
- Provide reminders for medications and daily routines, according to care plans and agency guidelines
- Offer companionship and emotional support to encourage well-being and engagement
- Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor
- Follow care instructions, safety procedures, and all applicable policies and regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely records as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, caregiving, or a related support role preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide respectful, patient, and compassionate care
- Basic understanding of personal care and household support tasks
- Ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and work independently
- Physical ability to perform job duties, which may include lifting, standing, walking, and assisting with transfers
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Current certification or training as required by local regulations or employer standards
