Northwell Health is seeking a dedicated hematopathologist to join its central Anatomic Pathology Services practice, specifically within the Hematopathology department. This role involves serving Nassau and Suffolk Counties in Long Island and the Queens borough of New York City, covering a diverse range of cases from major tertiary hospitals, a children's hospital, and an outpatient bone marrow service. The successful candidate will contribute to a leading healthcare provider and have opportunities for academic appointment with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Practice Info

  • Central Anatomic Pathology Services practice within the Hematopathology department
  • Serves Nassau and Suffolk Counties in Long Island and the Queens borough of New York City
  • Covers two major tertiary hospitals (North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center), a children's hospital (Cohen Children's Medical Center), and an outpatient bone marrow service
  • Interprets bone marrow, tissue pathology, heme FNA, flow cytometry, and clinical hematology services
  • Physicians will be employed as members of Northwell Physician Partners

Compensation

  • Full-time clinical base compensation ranges from $125K to $750K, impacted by physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity

Requirements

  • AP board certified in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology
  • Board certified in Hematopathology
  • Possess strong diagnostic skills
  • Possess a keen interest and experience in teaching
  • Academic background and/or accomplishments
  • More than three years of post-fellowship experience (preferred)
