Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematopathologist to join their team in New Orleans, LA. The incoming physician will join a collaborative group of pathologists and specialists within a leading nonprofit healthcare provider. New graduates are welcome to apply with the requirement of being board certified or board eligible by their start date.
Practice Info
- Location: New Orleans, LA
- New hire will join current physician group of 5 hematopathologists, 6 HLA/transfusion medicine physicians, and 30 anatomic pathologists
- EPIC medical record platform utilized throughout the health system to enhance flexibility in patient management
Shift & Schedule
- General schedule: 8am-5pm M-F
- Night and weekend call is shared with hematopathology group
Responsibilities
- Bone marrow and lymph node interpretation
- Hematopathology consultation
- Flow cytometry interpretation
- Clinical pathology laboratory oversight
- Quality committee involvement
- Medical directorship responsibilities
- Tumor board participation
- Laboratory stewardship guidance
