Position Summary

The Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine, the MetroHealth System and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is seeking full-time academic faculty members at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level with a focus on solid tumor oncology. Interest in breast, lung, or gastrointestinal cancers is preferred. Applicants should possess excellent clinical skills, and have a strong interest in teaching, research, and active collaboration in multidisciplinary patient care. The qualified applicant must hold an MD or DO degree. All individuals will have completed a fellowship in adult hematology and/or oncology and be board certified or board eligible in hematology and/or oncology.

Responsibilities

The essential functions of the position are to provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, longitudinal patient care, teaching and mentoring of internal medicine residents, hematology/oncology fellows, and medical students. Active interest and participation in clinical trials is strongly encouraged.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required. • Completed a fellowship in adult hematology and/or oncology. • Board certification or eligibility in hematology and/or oncology. • Strong clinical skills and interest in teaching, research, and multidisciplinary patient care. • Focus on solid tumor oncology, with preference for breast, lung, or gastrointestinal cancers.
