Sanford Health is seeking a BE/BC Hematology/Oncology physician to join an established Cancer Center & Research Program at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston and Stevens Point, Wisconsin. This role offers a full range oncology practice with extensive research opportunities and a strong dedication to multidisciplinary tumor boards. The position emphasizes work/life balance and provides support from a robust team of APPs, radiation oncology, and dedicated pathology and radiology services.

Practice Info

  • Established Cancer Center & Research Program
  • Clinics are integrated at all locations with regularly scheduled provider meetings, physician advisory boards, and tumor boards
  • Full range oncology practice including outpatient infusion center and inpatient capability
  • Strong research program and support of clinical trials with dedicated Research RNs and coordinators
  • Physicians are supported by a strong team of APPs
  • Radiation Oncology support onsite, with dedicated Pathology and Radiology support

Responsibilities

  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients from adolescence to adult with all types of cancer and other benign and malignant tumors

Compensation

  • 2-year salary floor of $700,000, depending on location, for a 1.0 FTE
  • Up to $150,000 retention incentive, if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 4 years

Requirements

  • H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
  • BE/BC Hematology/Oncology physician
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Internal Medicine residency program and completion of a Hematology or Oncology fellowship or integrated Hematology and Medical Oncology Program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training
