Schedule: Tuesday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Call Coverage: Night and weekend call; schedule TBD
Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible; certification must be obtained within 5 years of residency
Licenses Required: Active Indiana medical license or IMLC; BLS required; ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges
Minimum Experience: More than 2 years

Call Responsibilities: Participate in the call rotation as primary and backup to APPs. The physician must remain available by telephone; the APP will notify the physician if an in-person hospital visit is needed.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Locum Tenens Oncologist to provide inpatient coverage and participate in the call rotation. The physician will work Tuesday Friday and provide coverage at multiple locations, including Winchester on Wednesdays and Hagerstown twice per month on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Oncology coverage Tuesday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  
• Provide inpatient care and participate in night/weekend call
  
• Serve as primary or backup physician for APPs during call
  
• Complete required order entry and clinical documentation

Additional Notes:

• Full-time coverage of 4 weeks per month is required.
  
• Candidates available for only 1 2 weeks per month should not be considered.
  
• Winchester coverage: Wednesdays
  
• Hagerstown coverage: 1st and 3rd Thursdays
  
• Telemedicine is not available.
  
• Physician will travel between multiple coverage locations.
  
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccination are required, unless a medical or religious exemption applies.
