What You ll Do:
- Provide adult hematology and oncology care at a leading facility in Big Stone Gap, VA
- Support inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic responsibilities
- Cover one week of 24-hour call per month at multiple facility sites
- Collaborate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain EMR documentation using Epic system
- Participate in tele-consultations during on-call shifts as needed
- Support infusion services and coordinate complex treatment plans
What You Need:
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
- VA medical license in hand before start date
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience
- Ability to pass background checks (no settled or unsettled MP history)
About the Assignment:
This position involves floating between two sister facilities, providing adult hematology and oncology care while supporting both outpatient and inpatient needs. It includes 24-hour call coverage one week per month, patient volumes around 15 per day, and a strong team dedicated to your success. The primary location is JMH with additional coverage at SCCH, offering a mix of outpatient clinics, infusion centers, and inpatient services.
