Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
- Full-time locum Hematology/Oncology coverage starting ASAP; must be trained in Hematology/Oncology (not Med Onc only)
- Coverage of 2-3 weeks per month considered; pairing of two locums may be an option
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with one hour lunch; overtime applies after 9-hour day
- Bone marrow biopsies are required
- 1:4 weekly hospital call rotation; Friday 7:30 AM to following Friday 7:30 AM
- Daily rounding required Monday through Sunday, 1-2 hours each morning; additional weekday afternoon rounding from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Coverage of acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy patients during call; phone calls required, rarely called in
- Clinic weekday call shared among providers for add-on consults and supervision of chemo patients
- Each provider supervises their own patients in the Chemo Clinic
- Documentation required for post-Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post-CAR-T Cell Therapy patients
- Provider must utilize "real time" Mobile Time Clock, preferably GPS-enabled
- Up to 15 patient encounters per shift
- Board certification required; ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days
- Nearest airport: CWA (Central Wisconsin Airport)
