Join an Established Tampa Practice

This role offers the opportunity to integrate into a well‑established, collaborative Hematology/Oncology group delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

  • Join a collegial team of three experienced, Board‑Certified Hematology/Oncology physicians and one Nurse Practitioner

  • Balanced inpatient and outpatient practice with a broad case mix
  • Shared weekend hospital call (1:8)
  • On‑site Radiation Oncology , infusion suite, clinical lab, and imaging

Lead the Launch of a New Hematology/Oncology Practice in Manatee County

BayCare is expanding into Manatee County with a bold, forward‑looking vision, and we are seeking a physician interested in program development and early‑stage growth.

This opportunity is based at the new Manatee HealthHub , a 45,000‑square‑foot state‑of‑the‑art outpatient facility opening Summer 2026 , located on the future campus of BayCare Hospital Manatee (154 beds, opening in 2028).

Key Highlights

  • Serve as the foundational Hematology/Oncology physician , helping build early volume and referral relationships
  • Establish services well ahead of hospital opening to ensure a strong patient base upon launch
  • Develop a growing chemotherapy and infusion panel (initial infusion volumes supported through St. Joseph’s Hospital–South)
  • Collaborate within a modern, multidisciplinary HealthHub offering:
    • Primary care and specialty services
    • On‑site labs and advanced imaging (3T MRI, PET‑CT, CT, mammography, ultrasound, DEXA, X‑ray)
  • Unique opportunity to shape the future of a competitive, comprehensive cancer program

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology
  • Certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine (Hematology & Medical Oncology)
  • Eligibility for Florida medical licensure
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills
