Opportunity:
Physician - Hematologist/Medical Oncologist
Job Details:
  • Join an established team of Hematologist/Medical Oncologists within a supportive, relationship-based care environment
  • Average patient load of 12-15 follow-up visits and 1-2 new patients per day
  • Consultative call only with approximately 10 days of call per month; hospitalists handle admissions and nighttime coverage
  • Access to a comprehensive support team including genetic counselors, nutrition support, social work, nurse navigation, research nurses, physical rehabilitation, and lymphedema specialists
  • On-site specialty services including Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Interventional Radiology & Cardiology, and Palliative Care
  • Participate in Multidisciplinary Tumor Board Conferences and telemedicine/community cancer center initiatives
  • Work with a 24-chair on-site Ambulatory Infusion Center averaging 40 patient visits per day, administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medications
  • Access to clinical trials through the NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP)
  • Nurse Practitioner-run High Risk Breast Program & Survivorship Clinic and Low Dose CT Lung Cancer Screening program available
  • Quarterly professional development meetings with Hem/Onc providers and mentorship opportunities with colleagues in Duluth and Fargo
  • Potential for outreach opportunities after establishing your practice
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology required
