Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant Locum Need In RI Coverage Dates
  • Start Date: 11/23/2026

Schedule
  • Monday Friday
  • Approximately 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
  • No call
  • Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient coverage
  • Daily inpatient rounding: Approximately 1 2 hours depending on consult volume
Practice Setting
  • Acute Care Hospital
  • Hematology/Oncology
  • Mix of outpatient and inpatient care
  • Hem/Onc team onsite in clinic
  • Charting: Approximately 80% paper / 20% Meditech
Patient Volume
  • Outpatient: Approximately patients per day
  • Inpatient: Varies based on consult volume
Procedures / Responsibilities
  • Hematology/Oncology clinic coverage
  • Daily inpatient rounding
  • Inpatient consults
  • Biopsies as needed
Requirements
  • Board-Certified Physician Assistant
  • 2 years of recent Hematology/Oncology experience preferred
  • New graduates may be considered if they completed a Hematology/Oncology rotation
  • Rhode Island license required; facility will wait for licensure
  • DEA required
  • Rhode Island CSR required
  • Estimated Rhode Island PA licensure timeframe: 4 8 weeks
