Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: La Jolla, California
Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate : $105 - $110/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Physician Assistant (PA) for a temporary assignment in La Jolla, California. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Physician Assistant (PA):
• Work 12-hour day shifts ) on an inpatient Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant unit operating 7 days per week, Monday through Sunday
• Round on patients alongside 4 other Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) per day, managing an average census of 10-12 patients
• Perform care coordination, including admissions and discharges
• Provide care for patients experiencing relapses after transplant
• Manage malignant hematology cases and patients with common comorbidities
• Apply a thorough understanding of hematological blood cancers and cellular transplant processes
• Maintain active California (CA) licensure
• Maintain current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrate required BMT experience or extensive inpatient Hematology/Oncology experience
• Complete credentialing process within the required 45-60 day timeframe
• Submit full work history in chronological order, education including residency/fellowship, active license and certifications, and board certification as applicable
• Provide references, notable achievements, research, publications, and professional society memberships as preferred submission items
