Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) and the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology physician to join a practice located in Ontario, Oregon.
With over 500 providers, at Saint Alphonsus we take a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.Our practice is QOPI certified and accredited with the Commission on Cancer through the American College of Physicians.
As part of our team, you'll work alongside a robust team of hematology/oncology physicians, bringing cutting-edge treatments to our communities. Our integrated program boasts leading surgical expertise, includingthe State's only fellowship-trained surgical oncologist . We also take pride in our innovative programs, including lung cancer screening, lung nodule clinic, advancements in neuro oncology, and robust clinical trials through the Montana Cancer Consortium.

- Full-service cancer center with medical, radiation, and surgical oncology
- Nurse navigators, social work support, genetics counseling, and nutritionist services
- Dedicated 10-bed inpatient unit with full-time Oncology Hospitalist
- Weekly tumor boards with fellowship-trained surgeons
Schedule
- 4-day work week, 32 patient contact hours
- Call is 1:9, evenings and weekends (hospitalist coverage M-F, 8-5)
- Work in Ontario, OR (on the Oregon/Idaho border - 1 hour from Boise) 3 days a week and do outreach in Baker City, OR (1 hour from Ontario) 1 day a week
Requirements for this opportunity include: a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and a Hematology Oncology fellowship; Board Certification in Internal Medicine, as well as Hematology Oncology –or obtain such certification within three years of employment; obtain Oregon and Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC – Ontario, SAMC – Baker City and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed; valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
