The Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full‑time non‑tenure‑eligible or tenure‑eligible Associate Professor or Professor for the role of Division Head in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, Neuro‑Oncology & Stem Cell Transplantation.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Division Head is responsible for all patient care, research, education, advocacy and administrative aspects of the division’s work. As the leader, they will oversee:

  • Clinical care delivery and strategy, serving as Head of the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders service line at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
  • Research activities, growing the division’s research profile and supporting faculty and fellows.
  • Education, supporting the division’s fellowship and institutional training programs.
  • Advocacy on behalf of children and families affected by cancer and blood disorders.
  • Administration, including operational oversight, philanthropic and grant funding in partnership with the Service Line Executive Director and Division Administrator.

Qualifications

  • Board‑certified in hematology/oncology.
  • Outstanding clinical and teaching skills.
  • Experience in clinical and administrative operations management.
  • Accomplishments in hematology, oncology, neuro‑oncology or stem cell transplantation research encouraged.
  • Interest in faculty and fellow mentorship.

Compensation

Expected base pay range: $361,654 to $482,500. Salary commensurate with rank and experience.
