The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking an MD or equivalent Faculty to join their regional expansion sites in Upstate NY/Southern Tier areas. This role offers a blend of outpatient Hematology/Medical Oncology with infusion center coverage within a newly designated National Cancer Institute (NCI) cancer center. The position includes a University of Rochester faculty appointment and the opportunity to collaborate closely with experts across the Wilmot Cancer Institute.
Practice Info
- Work in regional offices in Upstate NY/Southern Tier areas.
- Collaborate with UR faculty MD/DOs, APPs, and nursing staff.
- Closely collaborate with experts across the Wilmot Cancer Institute through tumor boards, educational sessions, and clinical trial opportunities.
- Blend of outpatient Hematology/Medical Oncology with infusion center coverage.
Compensation
- Compensation: $400,000 - $525,000 a year.

- Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.

Shift & Schedule
- M-F days (8am-5pm) - shared call system.
Qualifications
- M.D., M.D./PH.D. Degree or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Successfully completed an accredited fellowship program and possess ABIM Board Certification in an oncology specialty.
- Possess academic credentials and accomplishments for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or higher at University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
- Must obtain a New York State Medical License prior to start date.
- Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
- Must meet all credentialing requirements.
- Eligible for Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology.
- Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required.
- Compliance with University and New York State health requirements.
