This cancer center affiliated with a large hospital system in Providence, Rhode Island is seeking a locum tenens MD specializing in Hematology/Oncology. Clinicians will deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to adult patients alongside a dedicated clinical support team. The role features Monday through Friday daytime hours with required 1:1 call coverage. This opportunity allows physicians to practice in a dynamic setting with flexible appointment structures and a provided ramp-up period.

- Clinical documentation managed through paper charting, an EMR system, and Dragon dictation
- Patient population: Adults
- Typical consult appointments are 45 minutes and follow-up appointments are 15 minutes
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology coverage on-site
- Conduct inpatient rounding in the latter half of the day
- Manage patient volume ranging from 12 to 20 encounters per day
- Perform typical consult appointments of 45 minutes and follow-up appointments of 15 minutes
- Provide call coverage on a 1:1 rotation, consisting of one week and one weekend per month
- Provide general hematology and oncology treatment

- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Call coverage required on a 1:1 rotation, consisting of one week and one weekend per month
