Practice Info
- COC accredited cancer center featuring an 18-bed chemotherapy suite
- Co-located with radiation oncology services within the same facility
- Dedicated pharmacists available to conduct educational starts for chemotherapy
- Weekly tumor boards conducted to support coordinated oncologic care
- Clinical trials, including phase 2 and phase 3 studies, available to support advanced treatment options
- Support staff includes 5 RNs, 1 MA, and 1 PA/NP
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology coverage
- Evaluate and manage hematologic and oncologic conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in weeknight call shared among clinicians and weekend 24-hour call
- Respond to questions from RNs regarding patients calling in with questions, patients receiving chemotherapy, and consults from the ED
Shift & Schedule
- Dates needed: ASAP - Ongoing
- Shift type: Day Shift; Call
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weeknight call shared among clinicians and weekend 24-hour call
Requirements
- Board certification in Hematology/Oncology is negotiable for this locum tenens engagement
