Hematologist Oncologist

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) Oncology & Hematology in New Smyrna Beach is seeking a fellowship-trained hematologist oncologist to join their established and expanding program. This role involves providing inpatient and outpatient services to a diverse patient population with hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. The successful candidate will contribute to the continued growth of oncology services in the region, supported by a comprehensive network and a team-centered practice atmosphere.

Practice Info

• The practice has been serving the community since 2023.
• The practice consists of two physicians and two APPs.
• Infusion, Radiation, and Surgical services are available at AdventHealth New Smyrna and surrounding hospitals.
• Access to multi-disciplinary clinics, research, clinical trials (including Phase 1), and daily tumor boards.
• Lab and infusion are available onsite.
• Shared office space with Radiation Oncology for ease of treatments.
• The practice will have support from nurse navigators, social workers, chaplain support, pharmacy, and nutrition.
• Extended network of 7 other medical oncology sites in and surrounding Orlando.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient services seeing a variety of hematology and oncology patients at AdventHealth New Smyrna.
• Support continued growth in the region.
• Share rotation of call with other physicians in the practice, including weekends.

Requirements

• Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Hematology and or Medical Oncology.
• Experience with practice building in a new market is preferred.
• Experience seeing a variety of hem malignancies and solid tumor patients is ideal.
