Hematologist Oncologist

UP Health System in Marquette, MI, a Lifepoint Health facility, is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist to join their Duke Cancer Care Affiliated program. Practice Info

• Duke Cancer Care Affiliated program
• Collegial and supportive group of five providers, including a physician and three Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Estimated 95% outpatient and 5% inpatient mix
• Office open from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday
• Average patient load of 18-25 patients per day
• Strong, caring team including 10 RNs, 2 navigators, 1 RN case manager, 2 pharmacists, 1 pharmacy tech, 1 lab tech, 1 office manager, 1 clinical director, 1 social worker, 2 financial counselors, 6 clerical staff, and 1 program director

Responsibilities

• Provide oncology consultations as needed for hospital admissions
• See patients from 8 AM to noon and 1 PM to 5 PM
• Manage new patient consults scheduled for 60 minutes and follow-ups for 15-30 minutes
• Participate in weekly tumor board meetings
• Engage in clinical research trial portfolio with a comprehensive support team
